Cemtrex Inc. has announced an increased level of inquiries in its emission monitors from cement companies. Although the company didn’t specify the amount of inquiries, it is sure to continue to increase with the compliance deadline for the EPA’s amendments to the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for the Cement Manufacturing Industry fast approaching. With a compliance date of Sept. 9, 2015, cement manufacturers are preparing to install monitoring instruments that would measure Mercury (Hg), Hydrogen Chloride (HCl), Particulate Matter (PM) and Total Hydro Carbons (THC) discharging from their stack.
The company notes that it is well positioned to offer a complete monitoring package enabling these facilities to meet the compliance targets at minimum cost. Cemtrex estimates that each system will cost approximately $500,000 and there are about 156 kilns that will be affected by this EPA MACT Rule in the U.S.
